His first solo release, Clark Plays Guitar, has generated a small but fanatic international fan base. Following the powerful response to this CD Clark put together a band for live shows, which is known by the same name: Clark Plays Guitar. Their high-energy performances are an electrifying roller-coaster ride of virtuoso musicianship and off-the-wall showmanship. Fans and critics compare Clark's playing to such legendary players as Randy Rhoads, Eddie Van Halen, Jimmy Page, Joe Satriani, and Steve Vai. The debut CD has been a bit more difficult to categorize, with critics naming such diverse artists as Vinnie Moore, Blues Saraceno, Black Sabbath, and King Crimson by way of comparison.
